Well Bailey, my little Fairy Dog Blogger, what do you think about this book.  “I really like this book, I would put it on my bedside table and read it every chance I get.”  We all go through periods in our lives where we pray for divine intervention and this book certainly has the power to help us through those struggles!  I agree with you Bailey, keep the book handy so you can take full advantage of it.  And, remember it would make a perfect gift!!

Dr. Susan Shumsky, author of eight books, shares her wisdom with us:

How to Write a Book Effortlessly

by Dr. Susan Shumsky

If you have the talent for writing, then the words should flow effortlessly onto the page. If you were to get in touch with your "inner writer," then the concept of "writer's block" would be foreign and incomprehensible to you.

What is the "inner writer" that I speak of? It is the part of yourself that knows all. It is your inner wisdom. That is the place from which all creativity arises. It is the home of infinite possibilities, the treasure-trove within. It is your higher self--your inner genius.

If you can tap into this amazing, magical, mystical part of yourself, then you would never stare at the blank page again, wondering what to write. You would know, instantaneously, exactly what you want to say.

Your inner genius has infinite knowledge, wisdom, imagination, inspiration, ingenuity, and originality. All you need to do is get in touch with it.

Here's how:

Sit down in a chair. Get comfortable. Close your eyes. Take a few deep breaths. Get quiet and still. Then take a few more breaths. Get even quieter. Let go even more. Give up. When you feel you are centered and balanced within yourself, then ask a question of your higher self. You might ask something such as, "What is highest wisdom for me to write about today?" Or "What is the best title for my new book?" Or "What is the best path for this character to take?" Or "What is the best solution to this problem?"

After you have asked your question, then take a few more deep breaths. Get quiet and still. Let go and give up even more. Do what I call "The Do-nothing Program." That means, do nothing, nothing, and less than nothing. Get into a neutral, relaxed state of evenness, without expectation or effort. Then your higher self will feed you with a vision, some words, or a feeling. Trust that. It is the answer to your question.

You have just tapped into your inner genius. With daily practice of getting in touch with your higher self in this way, you will eventually allow that inner wisdom to flow onto the page at the same time you are writing. This method of tapping into your inner writer is the shortest path to effortless writing. I call it "Divine Revelation®."

Dr. Susan Shumsky is the award-winning author of 8 books, published by Simon & Schuster, Random House, and New Page Books. Her website is www.divinerevelation.org.

Loved the technique for relaxing, letting go and 'be-ing' in order to find a direction!
